FAQ
- What level of precision can you achieve in your machining processes?
-
The level of precision largely depends on the specific shape and features of the part.
However, for typical turning operations, we can consistently maintain a tolerance of ±3 microns in mass production. - What sizes can you handle for turning operations?
-
We can accommodate materials with diameters ranging from Φ3 to Φ220.
The length depends on the diameter, but we can process up to 1.5 meters for diameters up to Φ12, and up to 700 mm for diameters of Φ32. - What are the maximum dimensions for machining operations?
-
Our machining capabilities allow us to process workpieces up to 560 mm x 410 mm in size.
- What materials can you work with?
-
We have experience working with a wide range of materials, including:
- Pure tungsten
- Pure nickel
- Inconel
- Molybdenum
- Kovar
- Pure silver
- Oxygen-free copper
- Iron-based alloys (SUJ2, ME1F, SKD, SUYB)
- Stainless steel series (SUS303, SUS304, SUS316, SUS416, SUS420J2, SUS430, SUS440C, SUS630)
- Pure aluminum
- Brass
However, we do not work with flammable materials such as titanium and magnesium for safety reasons.
- What precision and shapes can you achieve when machining pure tungsten?
-
For turning operations on pure tungsten, we have achieved tolerances of ±3 microns. We have experience working with diameters up to Φ40, but haven’t processed larger sizes yet. Milling is also possible, depending on the dimensions required.
We can machine both external and internal threads from M3 to M12.
For more detailed information about our capabilities with pure tungsten, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly. - What is your mass production capacity?
-
Our mass production capabilities vary depending on the specific shape and complexity of the product.
We have experience producing over 1 million units per month for certain items, but the actual capacity can differ based on the product’s design and requirements. - Can you handle small batch orders?
-
Yes, we can accommodate orders starting from as little as one piece.
However, please note that for small batches, the cost per unit tends to be higher. This is because the setup costs and tooling expenses are distributed across fewer items. - Do you offer heat treatment and surface finishing services?
-
While we outsource these processes, we can manage heat treatment and surface finishing as part of our comprehensive service.
We’ll coordinate all aspects of the job to provide you with a complete solution. - What finishing options do you offer?
-
We can provide centerless grinding and cylindrical grinding services.
However, our specialty lies in hard turning for finishing operations. For any other specific finishing requirements, please feel free to contact us. We’re happy to discuss your needs and explore potential solutions.
